Year 8 ICT - Week 1 & 2
Welcome to Year 8 ICT. The first two lessons that you will be given are to create a 'digital presentation' showing what you did on four different days of your holidays to your classmates.
Do you remember what a digital presentation is? How can you find out?
Task - to do now
Take the title in your book "Week 1 - Digital Presentations" add today's date and underline them with a ruler
a) Write down three things that make a good digital presentation.
b) What piece of software are you going to use and why?
Next: in your books write
c) Who is your Target Audience and what is the Purpose of your presentation. How can you ensure that your presentation meets these requirements?
d) Now design your presentation in your book by drawing out what the slides may look like.
e) Have this checked by your teacher and you are now ready to begin creating it.
Lesson 2
Task - to do now
In your books write the title "Digital Presentations, lesson 2", add today's date and underline them with a ruler
a) Write a definition for each of the following keywords:
Class discussion
b) What effects, animations or transitions are you going to use? Why have you chosen these?
Add this information to your plan.
Now: use your plan from last week to create your digital presentation
HOMEWORK
When you have finished your creation, write a short evaluation on your product, including what was good about it, how it could have been improved and list any new skills you have learned.If your presentation differs from your draft design explain why you chose to make these changes.
Stretch: Apply any improvements that you say would make the presentation better and print out both.
